Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County strives to enable and inspire all young people, especially those who need us the most, to reach their full potential as responsible, caring and productive citizens.

To achieve this, trained youth development professionals offer a comprehensive curriculum at a very low cost to children and teens age 6-18 during after-school and summer hours. For just $25 for the entire school year, Club members participate in lessons focused on Education and Career Development, Character and Leadership Skills, Health and Life Skills, Recreation, Sports and Fitness and the Creative Arts.

Club membership is open to all young people, and no child is turned away for a parent's inability to pay. Club branches are located in Hobe Sound, Port Salerno, Palm City, East Stuart and Indiantown.

Martin County Health Department
The Martin County Health Department is an influence in the lives of young people in many ways. One way is in their work with children, adolescents and teens through the School Health Program. The School Health Staff touches young lives every day, be it comforting a sick, scared 1st grader, teaching a middle school diabetic student how to take care of himself in school, or counseling a scared teenager who comes from a very dysfunctional home life and is afraid she may be pregnant. Every encounter is an opportunity to impart assistance and support both physically and emotionally and to "be the influence."

Parents Who Host Lose the Most
Many well-meaning parents think that it is enough to take away car keys at their teen's parties so the teens can't drink and drive. Parents provide the alcohol or allow alcohol to be consumed based on the false belief that it's a rite of passage, especially at prom and graduation parties.

The "Parents Who Host, Lose The Most: Don't be a party to teenage drinking" public awareness campaign was developed by Drug-Free Action Alliance in 2000 to educate parents about the health and safety risks of serving alcohol at teen parties and to increase awareness of and compliance with underage drinking laws.
